Mrs. Hoelscher joined Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School as a teacher in 2021, after over 30 years of diverse experience in both the public and private sector. She is the recipient of an Exceptional Public Service Medal from NASA and has 5 years of adjunct teaching experience. She earned a Master of Science degree from Angelo State University, an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake and a BBA from Washburn University. She also holds a certification as a Project Management Professional.
Mrs. Hoelscher believes that teaching is about engagement with the students; listening to them and letting them know they are being heard. She strives to prepare a learning environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion and dialogue in project-based, team activities. Along with her excellent organizational skills, she has a passion for continuous learning.
Mrs. Hoelscher and her husband, Brian, have 2 dogs and 2 cats. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time reading and solving jigsaw puzzles.
