PreK Teacher / Counselordgarciaololchurch.orgMrs. Garcia has been with us since 2022 and has over 20 years of teaching experience. She graduated from Lamar University with a Masters degree in School Counseling and from the University of Houston at Clear Lake with a degree in Bilingual Education. She is certified in school counseling, as a bilingual generalist and as a lifetime paraprofessional. She teaches PreK and also serves as our School Counselor.
Mrs. Garcia believes that all children deserve a well-rounded education and that the job of an educator is to ensure they are learning. She takes pride in all she does, personally and professionally. She has a passion to be in the classroom for a student’s “ah-ha!” moment. She experiences overwhelming satisfaction when she sees the pride in her student’s eyes -- in what they have accomplished and knowing that she has helped them reach their full potential.
Mrs. Garcia loves to travel and often takes short weekend trips with her husband of over 50 years. Even when they travel to familiar places, they seek to discover something new. She also enjoys sewing and reading when not spending time with her family; which includes two sons and two special daughter in laws, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
